Tuesday morning accident in Wolfforth sends two to the hospital

WOLFFORTH, TX (KCBD) - Two people were taken to the hospital after a tractor trailer and a pickup truck collided in Wolfforth.

The accident happened just before 8:00 a.m. on the Brownfield Highway (62/82) and Loop 193, just west of Wolfforth near the city limit sign. According to the Wolfforth Police Department, the tractor trailer was headed west on 62/82. The driver, Delfino Mena, was eventually transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The pickup was northbound on CR 1300 and failed to yield right of way to the truck. The tractor trailer hit the pickup on the passenger side. The driver of the pickup is 16-years-old and was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Wolfforth Police Department, DPS, and the Wolfforth Volunteer Fire Department all responded to the accident.
