LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A fugitive wanted in connection to a string of Lubbock robberies has been captured at the Texas-Mexico border.

Sergio Gonzalez, 23, was arrested on the international bridge in Del Rio just before 11 a.m. Tuesday. Lubbock police got word that Gonzalez was in Mexico and after talking to people in Mexico that had contact with him, Gonzalez agreed to surrender to Lubbock authorities on the international bridge.

Once he got on the American side, they took him into custody, served him the outstanding warrants. Two for aggravated robbery, one is for burglary with intent to commit aggravated robbery. Gonzalez was escorted back to Lubbock and is currently in the Lubbock County Jail.

It is believed that Gonzalez and Daniel Reyna are the suspects in home surveillance video. Throughout the investigation police have found two stashes of stolen goods believed to be linked to Gonzalez and Reyna.
