Step-2 Toy maker recall 2.5 million toy buggies

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Attention parents: There is a new recall involving 2.5 million toy buggies that you need to know about.

The Step-2 Toy maker recalled the "Push Around Buggy" and the "Whisper Ride Buggy."

Two children were seriously hurt when the handles detached from the toys, 26 other children have received minor scratches.

The buggies were sold in stores from August 1999 until March. Consumers should stop using the toys immediately and contact Step-2 for a free repair kit.
