LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – The city has gone out for bids on one of two pipeline projects for Lake Alan Henry. This is not the pipeline from the lake to Lubbock. Instead, this is the pipeline from a new water treatment plant to three pumping stations in the southern half of the city.
Treated drinking water will be piped from the far southeast corner of Lubbock to three pumping stations. Just the first phase of this project, which goes from 78th & Milwaukee Avenue to 114th & Memphis, is budgeted for $15 million. Bids are due in about a month.
