Canadian health officials are really hot, saying the travel warning from the World Health Organization was based on old information, and that Canada poses no danger of SARS to those who travel there.
Meanwhile, U.S. health officials are sticking by their neighbor, with no warning just some advice. "Our understanding of the information we have available right now is that U.S. citizens traveling to Canada are not at risk for SARS if they stay out of hospitals and follow some common sense precautions," says Julie Gerberding, CDC.
The Centers for Disease Control is passing out SARS information cards to educate people about the symptoms.
