The Lubbock Independent School District filled two vacancies within their administration.
On Thursday evening, the board unanimously voted Wayne Havens to the position of Superintendent. Havens has already been with LISD for more than 30 years. He replaces Jack Clemmons who resigned last month. Havens' starting salary will be $180,000.
The school board also appointed Art Martin to the position of Assistant Superintendent of Financial Services. Martin comes to Lubbock from Midland I.S.D.
