LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – The Lubbock Health Department has issued a public advisory on Pertussis. Now that there have been 22 cases reported so far this year, which is already nearly as many cases as were reported in all of last year.
Pertussis, which is also known as whooping cough, is spread by coughing or sneezing. While adults may consider it to be just a nagging cough it can kill a small child.
