Statement from Texas Tech regarding the suspension of Chad Bettis

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Big 12 Conference is upholding a mandated four-game suspension for junior relief pitcher for Texas Tech University Chad Bettis.

He is suspended after he hit another player with a baseball during Sunday's game against Baylor.

TTU petitioned the Big 12 Conference for a formal review of the situation. The Conference ruled that there was no evidence to overturn the call made on the field.
