More than 3,000 people joined together for food, fun, and a good cause on Sunday. The 14th Annual TKE Crawfish Festival was held at the Big Backyard on East Broadway Sunday afternoon, with good weather and all the crawfish you could eat.
The festival benefits a different charity each year and TKE member Will Turner says this year it was a little closer to home for the fraternity.
"This year, we are actually raising money for the Clay Warren Memorial Scholarship. Clay was one of our members, and he passed away in a car accident this fall so we wanted a way to honor him. And what better way than our Annual Crawfish, so we're raising more for his scholarship," said Turner.
Five bands played at Sunday's festival. Bowling For Soup opened for headlining band Cross Canadian Ragweed.
