A two week-old infant is dead after the driver of the car he was riding in ran a stop sign on Sunday morning in Lubbock County.
According to the DPS, 30 year-old Jennifer Reid from Petersburg was traveling south on Farm to Market Road 40, when she ran a stop sign. The Chevy pickup was then broadsided by a Toyota pickup traveling east on FM 400.
Two week-old Jaxon Reid was pronounced dead at University Medical Center. Jennifer Reid was treated and released from UMC.
Her passenger, 25 year-old Wesley Rayburn of Smyer, is at UMC in stable condition. The driver of the Toyota, 61 year-old James Snell of Lubbock and his passenger 49 year-old Richard Toth, were transported to Covenant with minor injuries and are both in stable condition.
