LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – A Lubbock man admits he helped out a conspiracy to counterfeit money.  Jesse Diego Jimenez, 27, pleaded guilty in federal court last week.

Jimenez took money from another man that he knew was counterfeit. He would then purchase small items with fake $100 bills and then split the change with other members of the conspiracy.

Court records in a related case mention the names of seven businesses that were victims of the fake money.  Jimenez will be sentenced at a later date to no more than five years in prison.
