Seth Mahan - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Seth Mahan is the valedictorian of the class of 2012 at Dawson High School and is graduating with a 96.86 grade average.

He is the son of Marlin and Dana Mahan of Welch, Texas.

Seth plans to pursue a career in agriculture education.

Please see the statement below from Seth Mahan:

My name is Seth Mahan, and I will graduate as Valedictorian of the class of 2012 from Dawson High School. I was very involved in many different extracurricular activities at Dawson. My favorite being football where I went to the playoffs all four years I was in high school.  I will be playing in the sixman all-star game this summer.  I also participated in Cross Country, Basketball, Track, and FFA. I'm also in the National Honor Society where I am currently vice-president. I just want to thank God for all the blessing that he gave me throughout my high school career.
