Anna Cruz is the salutatorian of the class of 2012 at Dawson High School and is graduating with a 95.67 grade average.
Anna is the daughter of Lorena and Vicente Cruz III of Welch, Texas.
She plans to attend Sul Ross State University and play basketball.
Anna was a member of the National Honor Society where she served as President for two years. She served as class president her senior year. Anna has played basketball throughout high school and was awarded All State Academic honors this year to top off a career of numerous honors in basketball. She also participated in cross country and track where she also received many honors. Anna was also an active member in FCCLA all four years of high school.
