LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Another warning label from the FDA, this time you'll see it on a popular weight loss drug.

Nearly 10 million people have used Alli since it was made available in 2007. Now, there have been thirteen cases of severe liver injury linked to Alli, which is over the counter and Xenical, which is the prescription version of the drug. Three patients who were using the drug needed liver transplants and two of them died.

However, FDA officials say they have not been able to determine the weight loss drugs caused the liver damage. Until more studies are done, manufacturers are changing the drug label to include information about the risk for liver problems.
