City Officials Send Warning To Not Be Wasteful With Water

The city says watering your lawn in the middle of the day can be wasteful.

  • They say you can lose up to 50% of the water through evaporation if you water during the hottest times of the day.
  • The water department says the best times to water is before ten and after six.
  • Also to know how much water you've used, place an empty tuna can near your sprinkler. When it's filled to about one and a half inches you know you've watered enough.
