LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Here's another in the list of public corruption cases at the Giles Dalby Prison unit; a cook supervisor at the prison pleads guilty to one count of Bribery of Public Officials.

Kerry Cowley admits she accepted a money order of $450 in exchange for smuggling two cells phones to an inmate. What Cowley did not know at the time is that she was under investigation by federal officials. They began looking into her in January and by February they had caught her smuggling the phones.

Cowley will be sentenced at a later date to no more than two years in prison, a $250,000 fine or both.

According to publicdata.com, Cowley is 22 years old and a resident of Post.
