Minor injuries in shooting, suspect at large

By Staff Reports | email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Lubbock Police are searching for a shooting suspect after a report of shots fired Sunday night, just after 9 p.m. in the 5600 block of 46th Street.

David Montoya, 37, went to University Medical Center with minor injuries. It's still not clear if he was taken by EMS or by private vehicle. Witnesses say the shooter was an Hispanic man, last seen wearing a red shirt and carrying a firearm.

Officers created a perimeter around the neighborhood and went house-to-house looking for him, and brought in the police dogs.  After a few hours police took down the perimeter.
