Wind and lightning cause power outages around the South Plains

LUBBOCK, TX(KCBD)- Wind and lighting caused dozens of power outages across the South Plains Monday night.

The outages caused problems for residents in Plainview, Kress, Olton and Floydada. At the height of the outage, more than 2, 600 Xcel customers lost power.

Xcel workers continue this morning to get power to those remaining customers without power.
