CNBC features possible Coastal Crisis solution from Texas Tech

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - While the coastal crisis continues, a solution from here in Lubbock, is making national headlines.

We've showed you the Fibertect Wipe before and on Tuesday, the marketer of the wipe was on CNBC.

It's a non-woven material made with cotton and carbon that can soak up and hold ten times its weight in oil and locks in toxins.

Researchers at Texas Tech originally made the wipe to protect soldiers from chemical warfare, but now they think it may be the solution to the oil spill clean-up.
