A concert set for Thursday is creating controversy in South Carolina. The Dixie Chicks arrived with a fleet of 18-wheelers last night to set the stage. It will be their first American concert since Lubbock native Natalie Maines made her controversial remarks in England about President Bush.
Concert organizers are getting ready for two shows. The Dixie Chicks inside and possible protests outside. The concert did sell out, but that was before Maines' comments. A few fans are even trading their tickets for the Marshall Tucker Band Concert in nearby Spartanburg.
