All this week, we're giving you a glimpse into the miracles you'll see this weekend during our Children's Miracle Network broadcast.
Banner Scarborough is a six-year-old who has to spend up to two hours a day in breathing treatments because he has cystic fibrosis.
At least his therapy is now managed here in Lubbock. For years, it meant a trip to Dallas to see specialists there. But not anymore thanks to a new pediatric pulmonologist who has launched a CF clinic here to help kids like Banner at the Children's Hospital at UMC.
"This has just been a great hub and UMC has really committed to providing the resources so that children can come here rather than to those other places, which is great for Lubbock and the surrounding communities," says Stan Scarborough, Banner's father.
You'll hear more about Banner this weekend during the CMN broadcast here on KCBD NewsChannel 11 live from UMC this Saturday and Sunday.
