TTU has vested interest in Missouri, Nebraska deadline

By James Clark | email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) –  Big 12 drama continues with new reports that Missouri and Nebraska have a Friday deadline to make up their minds.  Will they stay in the Big 12 or move over to the Big 10?  Texas Tech has a vested interest in the question.  And it's not just pressure from the Big 10 that puts the future of the Big 12 at risk.

The PAC 10 is now on record saying it will consider inviting Texas Tech, Texas, Texas A&M and other schools to leave the Big 12.  Some analysts think Texas Tech could well more than double its TV revenue by moving to the PAC 10.  So far, Texas Tech says publicly that it remains committed to the Big 12.
