Space Day at Lubbock Omnimax - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

On Saturday, Lubbock's Omnimax will celebrate Space Day.

This event takes on special importance, since the shuttle tragedy earlier this year. To honor the memories of the seven lives lost aboard Columbia, the Omnimax presents the music of the Texas Tech choir in "Leonardo's Flying Machine."

You might recall this particular piece of music holds special significance to the crew of STS-107, particularly to Texas Tech Graduate Rick Husband. The song is a celebration of the grandeur of flight, and is a bonus feature to be played before the last Omnimax show of the evening, through the month of May.
