Officials release names in deadly Plainview accident

PLAINVIEW, TX (KCBD) - Officials have released the name of the man killed in a motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon in Plainview.

The wreck happened around 3 p.m. near 5th and Ash. Ruben "Toby" Ramos, 38, of Lockney died shortly after his motorcycle collided with a pickup driven by 20-year-old Joshua Voyles of Plainview.

Voyles and his passenger, Julio Cesar Grimaldo, 17, were treated at the scene. Ramos was the lone rider on the motorcycle. He was taken to Covenant Hospital Plainview, where he was pronounced dead at 3:10 p.m. The police report states that Ramos was not wearing a helmet.
