LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Lubbock Cooper ISD says its TAKS results are at or above last year's results for each category and each student group.
"What's amazing with these scores is the fact that we grew by over 300 students this year," says Superintendent Pat Henderson. "These students are coming in here from out of district, out of state, and might not have the same instructional program or the same instruction focus as Lubbock Cooper."
"In my opinion, it's just amazing," Henderson continues. He adds that LCISD has grown by more than 800 students in 3 years.
Henderson says all campuses in the district are either recognized or exemplary, which is the minimum goal. Henderson say LCISD has been close to its ultimate goal of having all campuses rated as exemplary.
