Weather changes ahead for the South Plains

LUBBOCK, TX(KCBD)- This afternoon breezy and humid with high temperatures in the upper 90s to near 100 degrees. As the sun sets this evening skies will be partly cloudy with warm temperatures and a slight chance of isolated storms. Overnight low temperatures will be near 70 degrees.

Friday will have partly cloudy skies and hot temperatures, with a slight chance of thunderstorms late in the afternoon and into the evening hours. High temperatures for Friday will be in the upper 90s.

The chance of thunderstorms continues into Saturday along with partly sunny skies and a high in the mid 90s.

Sunday has the best chance of thunderstorms with a high temperature in the upper 80s.
