LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Texas inmate pleads guilty in the murder-for-hire plot against a Texas judge.

According to a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office, 49-year-old Jeffrey Dwayne Harrison, pleaded guilty in Lubbock federal court to two counts of using interstate commerce in the commission of murder-for-hire.

Prosecutors say Harrison was in jail in Brownwood, Texas, when an informant referred him to an undercover agent posing as a contract killer. Harrison now admits to arranging the death of state District Judge Stephen Ellis of Brownwood. He could spend up to 20 years in prison. Judge Ellis was not hurt.
