Cinco de Mayo Celebrations

Cinco de Mayo was celebrated city-wide on Monday, and it was no different in the Roosevelt ISD, which held its first ever district-wide Cinco de Mayo celebration.

Some of the planned events included Mexican folk dancing, a pinata contest, and student project displays featuring Mexican art and jewelry. Roosevelt classes worked together to prepare for Monday's celebration. The school district also received a grant from the Lubbock International Cultural Center.
