Lubbock high school makes top school list

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Newsweek magazine named Lubbock High School one of the top in the nation for the third time.

LHS ranks 1,234 out of just more than 1,600 schools. The only other school in West Texas to make the list is Amarillo's Tascosa High School.

Newsweek ranks the schools based on how hard school staffs work to challenge students with advanced placement college-level courses and tests.
