LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - It wasn't the weather but a water pipeline break that caused some flooding in downtown Lubbock Monday.
The break happened around 1 p.m. Monday afternoon and some of the flooding was about 8 to 9 inches deep. So far Economy Mills was the only business where water had to be shut off. They say this is the fifth time this has happened in 15 years.
Workers say the 16 inch pipe is old and that might be what caused the break. Most of the flooding was under control by Monday evening.
