LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics is now asking perfume manufacturers to list all the chemicals in a scent.

Lab tests have revealed that most of the 17 popular perfumes tested contained ingredients known to trigger allergic reactions and some even contained chemicals that might increase your risk of cancer.

"The products contain actually ten allergens on average each and those chemicals can trigger reactions like headaches, asthma attacks, skin rashes," said Stacy Malkan, with Campaign for Safe Cosmetics.  "Some of the celebrity brands included some of the highest number of hormone disrupting chemicals and chemicals that can act like estrogen, which is a concern because higher estrogen exposures are linked to a higher risk of breast cancer."

The group contends fragrances can pose the greatest risk to kids and pregnant women.  For a complete list of the perfumes tested and what they contained, (click here).
