Yoakum County named in fraud case

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - In federal court Wednesday, a complaint was filed against a Florida man, Justin Soloman in a multi-million dollar scheme that involved oil and gas wells in Yoakum County.

The papers state that Soloman and his companies raised 25 million dollars from more than 400 non U.S. investors by promising ownership and interest in oil and gas wells in Texas, including Yoakum County.

According to the documents, investors were promised a quick return on their investment, as much as 10 to 15 thousand dollars every month. But the investors never got those payments.

Now, the complaint is accusing the defendant of violating the Securities and Exchange Act.
