Five die in Ruidoso plane crash

RUIDOSO, TX (KCBD) - Five people are dead and two others injured after a twin engine plane missed the runway and crashed at an airport in Ruidoso, New Mexico. The FAA says the survivors, who are teenagers, were airlifted to an El Paso hospital.

The crash happened just before 11:00 am central time at Sierra Blanca Regional Airport. The FAA said the Cessna was registered to an owner in Granbury, Texas, and that there was no flight plan for the plane. But, Cleburne city spokesman Charlie Hodges said the aircraft had stopped in that town Thursday morning. Cleburne is near Fort Worth. The crash site is about 250 miles west of Lubbock.
