Willie McCool Scholarship Awarded - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Presentation of the first ever "Willie McCool Scholarship" was held at Coronado High School Tuesday night. The $1,000 scholarship was presented to Erin Frantz.

Astronaut Willie McCool was a 1979 graduate of Coronado here in Lubbock. He was the pilot of the Space Shuttle Columbia when it disintegrated during re-entry on February 1st, 2003.
