Hernandez sworn in as District 1 Councilman

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - It has been unofficial since Saturday, but on Friday, City Council swore in Victor Hernandez as the District 1 representative.

Hernandez won the seat by just ten votes, but those serving overseas had until 5 p.m. Thursday to send in their ballots, so the City could not declare the race over until then.

No ballots came in, and Hernandez was officially sworn in on Friday morning.
