LUBBOCK, TX(KCBD)- Temperatures will be hot this afternoon and skies mostly sunny, with a chance of late afternoon and evening thunderstorms in the western areas. The high for the Lubbock area will be in the upper 90s. As the sun sets this evening, temperatures will drop into the 80s, with an overnight low near 70 degrees.
The slight chance for storms will carry over into Wednesday along with mostly sunny skies and hot temperatures. High temperatures are expected to be in the upper 90s.
Thursday and Friday will have partly cloudy skies and high temperatures in the mid 90s.
