The good news is more students are enrolling at Texas Tech University and what's even better is they are bringing thousands of dollars to the Lubbock economy.
Texas Tech Chancellor, Dr. David Smith gave the council good news about Tech's growing enrollment. "An additional 1500 students at Tech, if you take all tuition and fees, if they pay the full cost or it gets covered through such things as fund raising through scholarships, will bring about an additional $12-million into the community," said Smith.
Smith went on to say that the Health Sciences Center has the fastest growing enrollment in the country. He says the students in that school will bring an additional $2-million to Lubbock
