Lubbock man in good condition after Tuesday night stabbing

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Investigators are looking for suspects involved in a stabbing that occurred late Tuesday night.

Lubbock Sheriff's deputies responded to a fight at a home in the 1300 block of 96th Street around 10:40 p.m.

Lubbock County Chief Deputy Cody Scott told us that 59-year-old Donald Lavash Jr. was the stabbing victim. He was taken to Covenant Medical Center with lacerations and puncture wounds to his back. As of Wednesday afternoon he was listed in good condition.

Witnesses say that there was more than one attacker. Authorities could not confirm that information.

Chief Deputy Scott also told us that Lavash had been drinking Tuesday night and that he didn't say much. Lavash was able to provide authorities with the name "Randy" as one of his attackers.

Deputies ask that you call the CrimeLine at 741-1000 if you have any information.
