Slight chance for storms in areas across the South Plains

LUBBOCK, TX(KCBD)- This morning there is a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms, otherwise skies will be partly cloudy, muggy and temperatures will be warm. Early morning temperatures are expected to be near 70 degrees, but by late morning it will be above 80 degrees.

By the afternoon hours skies will be partly cloudy and hot, with a slight chance of thunderstorms. Temperatures will peak in the mid and upper 90s for the Lubbock area. The chance for isolated thunderstorms into the evening hours. Storms will be strong, with a slight threat of severe weather, mainly across the northern viewing area. Lows over night will be in the upper 60s.

Thursday also has a chance of storms in the forecast along with partly cloudy skies and hot temperatures. The highs will be in the mid 90s.

Friday and Saturday will be partly cloudy with high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s.
