Lubbock County Restaurant Denied Permit for City Sewer Lines

The Lubbock City Council voted Thursday to disconnect sewer line service at a Lubbock restaurant.

City records show Cagle's Steak House has been illegally tapping into city sewer lines since April 19th. Cagle's is located outside the city limits, on 118 North FM 179.

Thursday the council voted against an amendment that would have allowed the Lubbock Reese Redevelopment Authority to establish a second set of sewer services that county businesses, such as Cagle's, could use.

As of Noon Thursday, NewsChannel 11 was not able to reach the owner of Cagle's Thursday morning, so there is no word yet on how this may affect their business.
