Lubbock City Council approves land for Baseball Hall of Fame

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The City Council approved an area for the College Baseball Hall of Fame that will be located just north of the Civic Center.

As part of a deal with the City, the Hall of Fame organizers need to raise somewhere between $15 million and $18 million. So far, they have raised $2 million in local donations.

The deadline to finish under this agreement is in 2015.

Thursday marks a major milestone in the development of a College Baseball Hall of Fame in Lubbock.  That's when the Lubbock City Council considers giving organizers the land, but it come with some stipulations.
