LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - More than two million Texans will hit the highways to celebrate July 4th festivities according to AAA.

It's summer and time for a vacation for many people, but not the crew at Bolton's. "Fourth of July holiday is one of our busiest times," says Manager Darrin Campbell.

They are car doctors and they don't want to see you break down on the side of the road. "We make sure all fluid levels are where they need to be because over time it can cause engine damage," says Campbell.

Campbell says a car's air filters are the way it breathes, and the cleaner they are the better the car runs. AAA executives estimate the average Texan will drive 850 miles and more than 2.4 million will travel across the Lone Star state in the next week.

"A flat tire on the side of the road in the West Texas heat is not fun," adds Campbell who says a quick few minutes can save a lot of headaches on the highway.
