PLAINVIEW, TX (KCBD) - A Plainview man was arrested twice in 12 hours on different charges.
Matthew Montez, 24, was first arrested early Wednesday afternoon for failure to identify. He was taken to the Hale County Jail and posted a $1,500 bond. Later that night, police responded to a call of criminal mischief and someone firing a gun.
Witnesses say they saw Montez slashing a tire of a vehicle and they began to chase him. They said they heard two gunshots.
Montez ran into a home and the residents called police saying he was destroying property. After a police standoff, Montez was once again arrested after officers found meth in his possession.
