Lubbock, TX (KCBD) - It was a big birthday bash in Littlefield, home of Waylon Jennings. The community celebrated the famous country music star's life Saturday with music, food and games.
"He was my grandfather and he was my hero. I love him to death. It's tickled me to know the community still does this for him after he's been dead almost nine years," said Whey Jennings, Waylon's grandson.
The legend's grandson is following in his grandfather's musical steps. He played at the birthday celebration Saturday and says the event means so much to his family.
