A cooler start for the week ahead

LUBBOCK, TX(KCBD)- This morning there are a few isolated light showers in the area, with cloudy skies. Temperatures will be a little cooler with early morning temperatures in the mid 60s. This afternoon there is a chance for scattered  thunderstorms, mostly in the southern areas. The chance for measurable rain is about 40%. High temperatures for today are expected to be in the mid 80s. The chance for storms in the south continue into the evening hours along with mostly cloudy skies. Low temperatures will be in the low to mid 60s.

Widely scattered thunderstorms are in the forecast for Tuesday, along with mostly cloudy skies. There is a 30% chance of measurable rain and highs in the low to mid 80s.

Wednesday has a slight chance of thunderstorms and partly cloudy skies. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s.

Skies will remain cloudy into Thursday, with a slight chance of isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Highs will be in the upper 80s.
