PLAINVIEW, TX (KCBD) - The Hale County Sheriff says the jail is now up to code after a recent annual inspection found violations.
Sheriff David Mull said the unannounced visit from the Texas Commission on Jail Standards was on June 15th. The jail was cited for four violations: Not having all employees trained, not being inspected by the Fire Marshall and the Health Inspector, a mechanical fan for the fire alarm system was not working and the weekly log on the generator transfer had not been completed.
The jail was given 30 days to correct the violations, but Mull said all four have been taken care of.
