(NBC) - The Luther, Oklahoma Volunteer Fire Department has turned their firehouse into dance club and plastered it on the internet for all to see.
They are line dancing on YouTube to get votes in a nationwide contest to win a new $170,000 fire engine.
The fire department has made it to the final seven in this competition sponsored by rescue vehicle manufacturer E-One.
Some of us have two left feet; I'll be the first to admit that. We really need this truck. So, if we got to act funny to get it, we'll act funny," says Deputy Chief Jason Maynard.
From a train derailment to grass fires, the Luther VFD has been pushed to their limits and with few resources.
"We've been running constantly. We've had two structure fires, tank battery fire, meth lab fire where the gentleman burned," explains firefighter Sierra Maynard.
The winner of the competition is determined by getting the most votes by August 27.
