The chance for rain lingers across the South Plains

LUBBOCK, TX(KCBD)- This morning skies will remain cloudy along with patchy fog and an isolated shower or two possible. Don't drive into water unless you know it is safe to do so. The low temperature for today will be near 70 degrees. This afternoon will be muggy and warmer with a chance of isolated thunderstorms late in the afternoon and evening. The chance for measurable rain will be about 20 percent with high temperatures in the upper 80s. Tonight there is a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms, with mostly cloudy skies and areas of fog. There is a 20 percent chance for measurable rain and low temperatures in the upper 60s.

Tuesday will have partly sunny skies, with a chance of isolated thunderstorms and very humid conditions. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. There is a 20 percent chance for measurable precipitation.

Temperatures will be in the upper 80s for Wednesday, along with partly sunny skies and a slight chance of thunderstorms.

The chance for thunderstorms continues into Thursday with high temperatures in the mid 80s.
