LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock businessman announced that he is seeking the office of County Judge. John Miller will be running as an Independent candidate against incumbent Tom Head in the November general election. Miller said he feels Lubbock County is running in the wrong direction and that fiscal restraint is the answer.
"The county continues to over spend the budget, raise taxes. The jail just opened, which was a good sign, but in the budget all along, it has been a 10 year process getting this jail built," says Miller.
Two years ago, Miller made an unsuccessful run for Commissioner's Court. At that time, he ran as a Democrat.
