LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock County Grand Jury handed down dozens of indictments on Tuesday.
One indictment is for Anthony Torres. He was indicted for the June 13th murder of his girlfriend 27-year-old Amanda Moreno. She was found beaten and choked to death in her central Lubbock home. He remains in the Lubbock County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
Another indictment, Miguel Rivera, was also indicted for failure to stop and render aid in connection with a deadly accident on the Tahoka Highway. Lois and Myrtle Porter both died in the June 12th crash at 98th Street and Highway 87.
There were reports that Rivera may have tried to hide his truck after the crash, but it was located after a Crimeline tip. Rivera is also remains in the Lubbock County Jail.
